The Soldiers Table Revealed

Episode 3 finished on a dramatic pause and revealed the premier party of characters who will branch out from the main group to begin their separate journey, apart from the remaining groups.

The combat-focused team features the determined fighter (portrayed by the voice actor), Thimble (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), Wicander (the player), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

Given 13 cast members, it was evident from the start that keeping everyone at one table would be unworkable.

This explains, the initial installments of this story serve as an Prelude, intertwining the individual narratives before splitting into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Strategists, and Seekers.

What Defines the Soldiers Table

As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for participants who enjoy a classically intense fight-heavy narrative style where diplomatic options are scarce.

At first glance, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander might look unsuited, but the developments of the third episode make it clear why these five characters are best suited for the warrior group.

Reasons to Leave

To begin with, the group understands precisely where to proceed after a violent initial meeting with the enemy group.

Casimir of the deceased character—whose passing initiated the story’s plot—used the enemy for his personal gain, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting Thimble, and stealing all the enchanted items to dispose of.

The antagonist then cleared his liabilities and escaped to a secure base in the northern region, beyond the city, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.

Personal Motivations

Moreover, each member has a personal reason to leave the city the metropolitan area:

  • The rogue, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, desires retribution.
  • The knowledgeable figure has experience in the region and cautions that it is a hostile place.
  • The warrior and The cleric, having resisted his family’s wishes to execute the target and instead saved him, have no other options.
  • However, their reputation as key figures in the influential clan could enable the party enter locations they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, Teor swore a eternal obligation to The savior for his salvation and will now go with him anywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

Finally, all of them are sought by the authorities that rule the city for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally no longer safe:

  • The rogue and The character are notorious outlaws.
  • The strong figure and The healer betrayed the influential house and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • The fighter is targeted for elimination by the clan.

This means them no alternative but to journey toward Timmony in search of Casimir.

What’s Next?

According to episode three’s follow-up content, we find out that the Soldiers table will not appear the following episode, leaving the other eight cast members to form the Explorers and Schemers parties.
